Kristina Werner Color Challenge 53

Wow. Was this a challenge or what! I had such a hard time with this one. These are SO not my colors!! I love red but when mixed with all these primary colors.... Hmm... I started out wanting to use my PTI Bird Watching set. Then I changed my mind and switched to my SU! Circus Train set. Didn't like it and went back to the PTI Bird Watching set. Still not 100% sure I love the card but it's done so I am posting it and moving on. =)

Okay...two posts in one day. Here's my submission for the Raspberry Suite Color Challenge. I used the new PTI Bird Watching set and paired it with SU! So this is my submission for the color challenge. I used a couple different stamp sets...You're Tweet by My Cute Stamps and the new PTI Background Basics: Text Style, and of course my wood grain stamp! I'm just loving owls right now. They are so darn cute!! And this one really needed a little flower accent with a bit of bling! Well, I'm off to create my card for Dawn's color challenge so I'll be posting that later today.

Raspberry Suite Color Challenge 5

Wow. I just love how this card turned out. It was my first chance to play with my new {Life} stamp set from Papertrey Ink so I was very excited! I love the Top Note Die so I decided to incorporate it. I used SU! Pixie Pink to stamp the flower images. I just stamped then stamped again for a lighter image without re-inking.

I hope everyone is having a wonderful Mother's Day! Thanks for looking.

Kristina Werner Color Challenge 51

A very quick card & post....and down to the wire I might add...for my entry for the color challenge. I got my brand new Scattered Showers set in the mail the other day and just couldn't wait to play with it! I will have to break it out again when I have more time. We are taking on a big outdoor project this weekend of building a stone wall along the sidewalk. So needless to say, not much time for stamping!

Money Holder Birthday

Here's a birthday card I made for my nephew who will be turning eight in a few days. I ordered these Tim Holtz Journaling Tickets a couple weeks ago from Two Peas and knew right away I wanted to use one for this card. It was tough though because I am such a hoarder!! I have such a hard time using my stuff. I have literally had that Clips Assortment container for MONTHS and just broke the seal last night to use one on the card!! So so strange I know. Why do I buy all these things and never use them? I'll never know.

For Mother's Day I am giving my mom a decorated {which I haven't done that part yet} file folder full of cards that I have made for her to have on hand whenever she needs a card. Here is one of the cards I have made. I used this technique from Kristina Werner's Finally Friday video on the chipboard frame. I love the way it turned out. Pretty simple card but I have quite a few to make so I suppose they can't all be elaborate! HA. Have a great day!

Mother's Day Sketch Challenge

I am playing along in this sketch challenge this week for Mother's Day. I had so much fun making this card but I struggled at the same time. I tried some new techinques that didn't quite work out the way I thought they would. I had to cover up a few "holes" where my sewing machine decided to LOCK UP! and I had to pull the card out and start over. I thought I would never finish the card but...here it is and I am pleased. I just love the Bloom and Grow collection of paper by My Minds Eye! Such a scrumptious collection of paper!! Can't get enough. And then the dreaded picture...they just never do my cards justice.

Ink: SU! Craft White, Tangerine Tango, Baja Breeze

Raspberry Suite Color Challenge 4

I was so happy to see another challenge! I kept it pretty simple but used quite a few things from my stash! I used a woodgrain stamp for the background. I got that idea from this card. Then I stamped another background stamp from Hero Arts called Houndstooth onto Chocolate Chip card stock and punched out 3 butterflies {hard to see in the picture} and embellished them with rhinestones. I also punched out a white butterfly and pressed it onto my Versamark pad then covered it with Heat & Stick powder, heated it up with my heat tool then applied Dazzling Diamonds and heated it again until set. So sparkly!! I Love It!! I adhered the ribbon and pompom trim, stamped the sentiment and all that was left to do was take the dreded picture! HA! I just hate that part.

{Missing You Goodies:}
Paper: SU! Cool Caribbean, Chocolate Chip, Whisper White
Ink: SU! Chocolate Chip. Versamark
Stamps: SU! So Many Sayings. Hero Arts Houndstooth. Michaels Woodgrain
