I loved this idea by Dawn McVey giving a sweet treat to a friend so I decided to pick one up and make it for my friend I will be seeing tomorrow. We're just headed to the mall to do some shopping but I thought it might make her day to give her a special something wrapped just for her.

2009 Calendar...4 months late

Well, I finally got around to creating a page for the {Create A Calendar '09 Kit} that I bought back in December. Wow! Talk about procrastination!! It feels so good to finally have it done. It didn't really take all that long to do either because the kit came with lots of stickers so the orange, green and red stripes on the layout are pre-cut stickers! The most time consuming was coming up with a design, and silly as it sounds this was difficult for me because I have never made anything bigger than a card!! Then covering those cute little birdies with card stock. When finished, I just put it in the frame I bought at Michael's and viola! Hope you enjoy.

Raspberry Suite Color Challenge 3

For this challenge I decided to cover a spiral notebook. I used Bazzill Flamingo for the Berry color. For the "me & my ideas" letters I was originally going to use American Crafts {Gift Box} thickers but I needed two e's and only had one. Of course NONE of the other letters I have matched for this project! I finally broke down and traced all the letters on Kraft cardstock and cut them out. That took a while! For the Ivory Tag behind the word "big", that is actually the tag from my Making Memories Noteworthy Embellishments Jar! I loved it so much I took it off the lid and traced it onto the Ivory CS and cut it out then distressed the edges. Anyway, I am please with the way it turned out. Hope you like it too!!

Babies...

A friend of mine had a baby not too long ago so I made this cute little card for her. LOVE the sweet paper! I used the SU! Swell News set to stamp "Congratulations on your sweet new arrival" on the inside. She loved it!!


Next is a card for a friend who recently announced that she is having a baby. Not sure if it's a boy or girl just yet but I loved this paper by Kelly Panacci {Daisy Stripes} so I just had to use it. I used SU! Au Chocolate DSP to make her dress. I used my brayer with the Pirouette Pink ink to color the paper then stamped it on and cut it out and adhered it to the already stamped image in the tag. I didn't want to add extra colors to the mix so I just left the girl alone. I like how it turned out.

Kristina Werner Color Inspiration #48

I went out on Friday and did some shopping at JoAnn's, Michael's, Hobby Lobby and a local scrapbook store - The Scrapbook Page. I found lots of yummy paper and was immediately inspired to come home and create. When Kristina posted her Color Inspiration I was so happy to see that the colors matched perfectly with this We R Memory Keepers White Out Collection Paper called Sing Song. It's just adorable...LOVE the little birdies! So this is what I came up with for the challenge...
